Reviews from Our Listeners
“We really missed the band. It was so good! There were times Norman and I would not dance so that we could listen and appreciate the talent of your musicians. Thank you, thank you for mixing up the fast and the slow. Much appreciated! We would love to see you at the Legion Hall in September. It also was good when doing the Waltz and letting the dancers know to go counter-clockwise. Thank you George and the Band for another fantastic, fun-filled dance night. We can’t wait to dance with the Band again. September is too far away!”

“Thanks again for a wonderful, wholesome, FUN evening!. Got lots of exercise too! You guys are great!
I gotta tell you, 3 car groups, totalling about 11 people came from my house. One of the kids in our congregation who I had invited, spread the word to all his Swing Dancing friends, and about 6 or more other car groups of them arrived after we did! Some from as far west as Columbia Station, and Brunswick. Nice to see young people having a lot of fun that doesn’t involve drinking, smoking, drugs or cursing! (Not to mention video games….ha ha)
Thanks so much! We’ll see you again soon.”

“I have three daughters in the Kenston School system, which is how I found out about you. My oldest is in ninth grade and she had gotten a flier with some of her school info in the mail. My parents had seen you a couple different times and mentioned how great you were, so I purchased two tickets for them, and one for myself, and thought—what the heck, I’ll go too! We attended your concert at the Kenston High School Auditorium this winter, and I have to tell you, it was absolutely fabulous!! My dad actually had tears when you played “Moonlight Serenade.”

“We just wanted to relate to Sophisticate Swing, how impressed we were with the band. Our first exposure was at the Geauga County Fair, and it was a wonderful experience. We now have your schedule and are looking forward to visiting the band again. We are regular dancers at the Springvale Ballroom, located in N. Olmstead OH. The Ballroom has a special swing dance now and then, and it sure would be nice to see Sophisticate Swing there sometime. Thank you so much for helping to bring back the swing era. Good Luck, see you soon.”

“We enjoyed ourselves immensely Saturday. The space was great and it was good to see new faces. Dan and Nancy came up and asked if you knew any tunes that they could “Rumba” to. Most of the big band tunes are swing and fox trot but Terri and I can force a rumba to several of the fox trot tunes. Rumba is more of a Latin type music so I will dig through my archives to see what might fit. Another one of my favorites… “Pine Top Boogie Woogie” and yes, it does have that swing.”
